Several times through the year we set the hall for an evening and invite the married couples of the church — those newly married and those who have kept a home together for decades — to spend it in one another’s company.
The evenings are built around a table: a meal, unhurried conversation, and a word from Scripture on what a marriage is for. Couples who have walked the road longer speak honestly about what they have learned, and the questions asked are the ordinary ones — patience, forgiveness, raising children, and keeping love awake through a long year.
There is no course to complete and no commitment to make. A marriage is strengthened the same way it is built: slowly, in good company, and with the Lord at the center of it.
Come together, or come simply to listen. Whether you have been married forty years or forty days, you are welcome.
